This morning, we awoke at Marina Cay under clear blue skies. For breakfast, the crew prepared scrambled eggs, toasted bagels, yogurts, oatmeal and apples. Right after breakfast, the certified divers went on two super cool dives with sharks, big rays and turtles! The non-divers enjoyed a morning snorkel of Diamond Reef followed by motoring over to the beautiful White Bay. Here, the divers joined their home boats for lunch of sandwiches and a delicious pear cobbler for desert.

Afterwards, Foxtrot and Sierra students turtled around the most beautiful pristine blue water and had a lesson on ocean gyres. Everyone enjoyed a well-deserved relaxing afternoon socializing with our fleet of boats.

As the sun began its descent, everyone had fun showering off the transom of their boats while singing and dancing to tunes of various beats. The students on dinner preparation worked together to boil pasta and cook sausages and make a tasty pesto dish for their crew. White Bay was greeted with a stunning sunset, proving to be one of the most beautiful spots we have moored thus far on program. All the boats rocked lazily back and forth in sync as we had our laughing, rambunctious, sun-kissed sleepy children together for boat cleaning, boat meeting and an early bedtime in anticipation for race day tomorrow.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
