This morning, we woke up at Pomato Point on Anegada and got ready for our Challenge Day! On Challenge Day, the students take control of the entire boat, sailing, and the schedule for the day. After heading to a staff meeting before breakfast to get our itinerary for the day, the students made breakfast and completed pre-departure checks in order to begin our sail to Cane Garden Bay on the north side of Tortola. The students navigated our boats out of the Anegada Reef and successfully voyaged to Cane Garden Bay after a four-hour sail!

Once we were moored at Cane Garden, we snorkeled and saw four turtles and tons of sea urchins. After our snorkel, we headed to shore and spent some time exploring a new place. We headed back to our boats and showered before having a delicious dinner of Mahi-Mahi! After dinner, Challenge Day concluded at our boat meetings where we debriefed the whole day. We powered down and got ready for our early morning sail to Diamond Cay on Jost Van Dyke tomorrow!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
