Trellis Bay to Long Bay

We got up at 8:45 AM in Trellis Bay and headed over to shore to look at shops, then we headed over to Long Bay and had morning Olympics on the beach.

We each competed fiercely until it started raining and we had to head back to boats for lunch. For lunch we had pizza bagels, which were delicious. After lunch we all went on a fun dive to pick up all trash in the ocean. We each found a lot of great things and saw lots of small critters in the ocean. Back on the dive boat we opened two bottles and found two octopus which we put in a bucket to look at!

While Foxtrot were diving, Sierra learned about Lionfish – an invasive species that are doing huge damage to the local reef systems, and did a cool dissection with Marine Bio Kate!IMG_0817

Then we went back to shore to pick up trash and help make the beaches cleaner. Then we had a great BBQ dinner with the Alpha fleet.

Today we did a great job of picking up trash and the Miracle Moment was when the boys found their shoes!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
