Today, we spent the day at Cooper Island Beach Club. All of our non-divers enjoyed a change of pace by heading over to the Alpha program’s monohull, Meursault, and circumnavigated around the island while the Open Water divers did more work on their confined skills learning dives.

After lunch, some students went snorkeling over at Cistern Rock where they saw squid and tons of cool fish. Everyone enjoyed a fun beach day of swimming, stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking. While on shore, we all indulged in some delicious ice cream, too. One of the leadership team’s mates-in-training came over to hang out and have dinner with our crew which was a lot of fun.

Our Tango students are really settling into boat life and becoming great friends; lots of laughter and jokes all around. After boat cleaning in the evening, all of the Tango and Alpha fleets had a social onshore and played games under the moonlight.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
