Today, we woke up bright and early at Marina Cay and feasted on a breakfast buffet of yogurts, cereals, oatmeal, the spread! Our Open Water certified, now fun divers (!) hopped on the dive boat for a morning of diving the RMS Rhone.

The rest of the crew followed close behind as we dropped the mooring ball and sailed to Salt Island, where we met our divers for lunch. The divers saw both a group of sharks and a pod of dolphins! After lunch, our Discover Scuba divers headed out on the dive boat to the Rhone, as well.

Everyone else dinghied to shore to clean the beach and to hike to the top of Salt Island and have an aerial look out upon the Wreck of the Rhone for themselves. We learned the history of the royal mail steamer that wrecked upon the shore of Salt Island in an enormous storm.

Hiking back down the mountain, we arrived back to boats just in time to meet our discover scuba divers and hear about the sharks that they saw as well!

After showers, we made an amazing dinner of spaghetti lo mein and met for boat meeting. Everyone readied themselves for bed knowing that tomorrow was a day full of competition: both Race day and Sail Caribbean Olympics!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
