The fleet started the day ready for some competitive sailing since it was Race Day! After planning our course, we raised our sails and got on the start line for an upwind sail to Mountain Point, one of Sail Caribbean’s favorite destinations for awe-inspiring sunsets and neat snorkeling/diving.

We actively practiced our sailing maneuvers, navigation and most importantly our sail trim in order to make the most of the fiery rivalry. At the finish line, we dropped our anchor, but to our dismay, we had not secured our our anchorage first to take the crown. Fortunately, we still celebrated the day with rounds of water-sporting on Sail Caribbean’s infamous water-sporting tube, Popparazzi!

It was an awesome afternoon which ended with a bio-luminescence lesson. After the lesson, it was time for Chili Cook-Off where our boat prepared chili and a Pirates of the Caribbean skit to present to our secret guest judges.

After the long night, we topped it all of with a bio-lume splash and a power down to rest up for the next day’s adventures.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
