We woke up at Scrub Island and got ready to sail to Cane Garden Bay on Tortola! After a beautiful dedocking, we unfurled our jib and set our sails. After an enjoyable morning under sail, we made it to our destination and moored at Cane Garden Bay. Then, we got ready for an afternoon on shore!

We spent the rest of the day at Aragorn’s farm on Tortola where we did some community service by helping weed their vegetable beds. We also got to try some of the organic fruits that they produce such as soursop, passion fruit, and mangos (yum!!!).

Later, we got back to I Am Free and prepared for the Chili cook off which we would be participating in along with the Alpha fleet! Our theme was a musical, and we prepared songs for the visiting Chilean judges for when they arrived. Everyone enjoyed our delicious chili and ended the evening powering down for bed after such an exciting day!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
