Emily Drappeau
Emily is from the small town of Dresden, Maine, and has been scuba diving ever since she was fourteen. You could always find her on or near the ocean growing up. Whether it be swimming, diving, or helping local lobstermen she was always on or in the water. After high school Emily went on to the University of Rhode Island to study marine biology and marine policy, it was there she studied Southern Resident Killer Whale acoustics with NOAA, won two championships with the division one crew team, and sort of learned to surf. she’s still working on that one. After four years in university, Emily took five months to backpack across Europe visiting thirteen different countries and making many lifelong friends along the way. Her passions include diving, learning fun fishy facts, travel, community outreach, skiing, and teaching others about marine biology!
