Hi Delta Fleet, this is Lucy from Maora! Days 10-12 were challenging but super rewarding. After lots of preparation and cleaning, we departed Leverick for our much awaited 24 hour sail. We were in and out of sleep and shifts. My shift was 3-6am and although I was extremely tired, we saw an amazing sunrise and dolphins swam with our boat! We didn’t arrive down island until 2:39, but everyone was excited to be there and jump in for ocean showers.
Afterwards, we quickly got dressed and ready for dinner at Saint Martin. We ate lots of food and everyone on fleet told their funny night sailing stories. The next morning, we headed over to a dock on Saint Martin to get our boats checked on and enjoyed French pastries and candy. From there we enjoyed a calm sail to Ile Forchue, an uninhabited island. The water was so clear and we showered while the sun set over the island. Today we woke up at an early 5am for a sunrise hike which proved our early wake up rewarding. After our hike, we motored to Saint Barts. Here we shopped, ate some good food, enjoyed the Fourth of July and celebrate Jules birthday!
