We started this beautiful Tuesday with a sail from Marina Cay to Cooper Island. On board Tiger Lily, Thomas was the skipper, and we learned all about the points of sail. Eli and Eliott even had the campers do a dance to help remember them!
Once we arrived at Cooper Island, all of the divers headed ashore to meet their instructors and begin their course. While the divers were away, the rest of the campers went aboard Sweet Caroline for a marine biology lesson about jellyfish and coral before heading out on a field snorkel to explore the clear blue waters of the Caribbean.
“The snorkel was super cool- we saw a squid!” – Emily Clarke on Tiger Lily
When the divers returned, music was playing and the mood on the boat was full of energy. Between dancing, games, and swimming, the campers were enthusiastic and having a blast. Eventually, everyone returned to their boats to shower and start preparing dinner.
On the menu that evening were Mediterranean bowls. Shout out to Luke and Emily on Tiger Lily! What a cooking team! We are all excited to wake up tomorrow and continue learning about sailing, and the divers can’t wait to head back into the depths to explore the wrecks and mysteries of these Caribbean waters.
