Lates Fleet! Day 7 – Savannah Bay

The crew of Pirate Song were woken up to a lovely breakfast prepared by Lux and Elise – sausage eggers to fuel us for our long voyage from the Moorings to Savannah Bay. Our scuba divers had a morning excursion, reporting back with sightings of moray eels, reef sharks, and an eagle ray. Everyone else did a squid dissection then a truck tour of Tortola which was super cool!

Once they had returned Maeve, our skipper for the day, undocked us and we set sail. We hoisted sails without the help of our instructors and with the wind strong and the swell growing we headed upwind, tacking up the channel at a consistent 8 knots. We dropped anchor at a windy, turbulent Savannah Bay. Westen and Harry whipped up a glorious, spicy chicken fajita dinner.

The crew dipped their toes into a party on Fan Sea but their ears weren’t met with the pirate songs they hoped for and quickly retreated home. Instead, the evening was filled with our own music, friendship bracelets, and a choc chip cookie cake – you gotta see it to believe it.
