Emilia Bennett

Hi, I’m Emilia! I grew up on the Great Lakes, sailing with my family and visiting Maine every year, so I’ve always been drawn to the water and wanted to pursue a career in marine science. I graduated from Colgate University last year with a degree in Aquatic Ecology. I worked in New England doing whale research for a year and a half before deciding I wanted to try something a little different (and warmer)!

I love being out on the water, and I’m working toward getting sea time for my Captain’s License, so the mate/marine biologist position fits my interests perfectly. The educational aspects of my previous jobs have given me some of my favorite memories, and I’m looking forward to seeing how this summer adds to that. I’m super excited to get to learn with everyone this summer and have an incredible experience with Sail Caribbean!
