Bravo/ Charlie Day 2: Brought to you by the crew of Monet

Today was mostly an instructional and orientation day as we made the trek from Hodge’s Creek Marina to Cooper Island with James at the helm. We started in the morning with a buffet of different foods for breakfast followed by going to the dive shop to check-in for our future dives. We then went back to the boat for a prior to first, which went over all of the basics and safety onboard followed by a de-docking lesson.

Each boat had a great de-docking and safely made it out of the marina!

Learning to unfurl and furl the jib was a painstaking process because of our two seasick crewmembers. However, they kept their high enthusiasm and everyone felt better when we got into position.

Spirits were lifted after a long first day when Joe became covered in mustard to aid with the shower demonstration. Finally, after showers, Bodhi and Westin made a delicious dinner of BBQ chicken and couscous to the view of an outstandingly gorgeous sunset. The day ended as we slowly made our way to the cockpit for our first boat meeting on the water followed by a nice stargazing session!
