We had another early morning wake up to start our exciting day in the Caribbean. We started by making breakfast right after we awoke, dining on a scrumptious breakfast buffet. After our meal to fuel us for the day was enjoyed and cleaned up, the divers headed to shore to continue their underwater learning, or if already certified, their underwater exploring! The non-divers explored the shore of Cooper Island, both within the shops and coffee shop, and the beautiful sandy beach.

After a fun morning on shore, we headed back to boats for lunch.  We gobbled up a delicious lunch of broccoli mac n’ cheese prepared by our student chefs of the day. After a quick clean of the boats, the divers went back to shore for another dive and the other students got to go for a circumnavigation sail around Cooper, enjoying the view of the windward side of the island.

After the afternoon came to a close, we returned to our home boats to start dinner prep of jerk chicken and plantains. It was delicious and we all bonded over great food and company. We then had an earlier boat clean because we got to go to shore for a social! The social at the restaurant on Cooper Island was so much fun! We enjoyed desserts and delicious drinks while mingling with other Sail Caribbean programs that were stationed at Cooper for the day as well. We held our nightly boat meeting on shore today where we talked about our highs and lows of the day. After a long and fun day, we headed back to boats to rest up for another fun day on the water.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
