Katie Dickson

Since she was a baby, Katie has had a fascination and love for the ocean. Born in Bermuda, she has lived in 4 different countries, experiencing the beauty and magic of water in each of them. Katie grew up sailing on the waters of Mahone Bay in Nova Scotia, Canada, and has worked as a sailing instructor for the past 3 years at her local yacht club. When she was 16, Katie traded in the Atlantic Ocean for the Caribbean Sea, attending The Island School in Eleuthera, Bahamas, for a semester. While there, she added scuba diving to her list of water sports and her spirit for adventure was piqued. Katie is currently a rising junior at Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada, studying commerce. In her free time, she likes to travel, ski, sail, swim, and do yoga. Katie fell in love with the BVIs while on a family vacation and is very excited to return as a Mate with Sail Caribbean and share her passion for sailing and the ocean!
