Today the weather was awesome – the wind was around 18 knots, the water was beautiful, and the view was killer! We started the day off with a navigation briefing to get to Bitter End Yacht Club with our skipper and navigator on the Staff Boat. The Skipper of the Day was Lina, and the Navigator of the Day was Cassie. Breakfast was a breakfast buffet – done on time and deliciously. A great start to an awesome day!

Lina de-docked like a boss! Great de-docking and navigation work by both Lina and Cassie. The sail was very successful and safe – the students really rose to the challenge of Challenge Day! Lunch was sandwiches prepared by all to help Lina and Cassie sail and navigate to Bitter End.

Once we moored at Bitter End, we got to go on land and sail on Hobie Cats, enjoy virgin drinks at the bar, swim at the beach, and shop in the boutique.

Dinner was super fun, hanging out with the videographer, Zack, and enjoying some downtime together. Dinner was chicken, rice, and broccoli. Delicious and made right on time! We had a nice chat and went to bed early. Today was a day full of new things – taking over the boat and excelling, making delicious meals, and absolutely slaying challenge day!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
