The Lates Fleet! Day 11

Written by Katrina C., Captain on Blueberry
Today we woke up in the beautiful Anegada at around 7 in the morning and made a delicious breakfast buffet before dropping the mooring ball to head towards the docks on Scrub Island. However, as we were ready to go, we saw a baby stingray swim to the top of the water and get stuck on its back on the surface. Our mate Marina jumped into action on the paddleboard and swam over to help flip him over, and we all cheered as he was saved and returned back under the water to his home. Then we got the engines on and had a wonderful and long sail, with Billie at the helm.
Once we got to our destination, Cam did a magnificent docking, and we began our deep clean. Afterwards, all the divers got their gear and headed onto the dive boats for some of their last dives. While underwater, they saw an eagle ray, lots of stingrays, and colorful fish. Meanwhile, the non-divers got to go to the scrub shore and eat lots of ice cream and go swimming in the pools. Once the divers returned, we all headed back to the boats, and George and Sheela made a delicious spaghetti dinner with yummy chicken and a nice side salad.
After dinner, the divers got their gear again and prepared for the final dive of the summer, a night dive! It was many of the campers’ first night dive, so the excitement was tangible. While on the night dive, they saw lots of tarpons, witnessed a crab give birth, Jackson saw a barracuda, and even some sharks! When they returned, everyone showered up and just hung out between the boats on the docks, enjoying the close quarters of dock life. Finally, as the night came to a close, we had our boat meeting, ate some cookies, and reminisced on the program as it is shortly coming to an end. In all, we had another amazing day in the BVI.
