The end of a program is always strange as it seems like only two minutes, not two weeks since everyone arrived, and they are already beginning their journeys home again. So many memories are created in such a short span of time that the days fly by and you hardly even notice the final day approaching. Departures day is always such a blur of goodbyes and over stuffed suitcases and before you know it, all is strangely quiet on Venture and Xeres suddenly.

Alpha 2 has been such an amazing program filled with a lot of laughter and new experiences, and the whole Sail Caribbean team would like to thank everyone who was a part of making it a time to remember. We all hope that your knowledge of sailing and thirst for exploration will continue to grow and that we see you back in the BVI for many more years to come.

Fair winds and following seas,

Alpha 2

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
