Elie Husum

Elie Husum is an enthusiastic and driven student, currently an incoming sophomore at the University of Colorado Boulder. She is pursuing a degree in Strategic Communication with a minor in Business Management, combining her passion for advertising and the creative side of the work industry while still gaining an understanding of business dynamics. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Elie brings a fun city energy and open-minded curiosity to everything she does. A proud alumna of Sail Caribbean, Elie is thrilled to return, not as a camper anymore, but as a staff member ready to give back to the experience that helped shape her. Her first experience with Sail Caribbean, she met great people, sparked her love for sailing and scuba diving, and enjoyed the beautiful BVI water. Elie has an outgoing personality and a strong work ethic. She’s the kind of person who throws herself into every opportunity, whether it’s learning how to tie a new sailing knot, collaborating on a group project, or diving into the water. She’s always eager to pick up new skills, take on challenges, and help others feel welcomed and excited. Elie is excited to be a part of the Sail Caribbean team this summer. She can’t wait to share her passion for the ocean, build meaningful connections, and help create unforgettable experiences for campers and other staff members.
