Kate Rogers

Kate is excited for her first summer with Sail Caribbean! She grew up sailing around Boston
Harbor and has spent the past four summers teaching sailing in the area. Kate is entering her
senior year at Colby College and is studying Biology and Environmental Science. She loves
learning about marine ecosystems and animals and cannot wait to share her love for the
environment with others. At school, Kate is a founding member and Vice President of the Colby
Ski and Snowboard Club. She is also involved in developing the learn-to-ski program at the local
ski area, Quarry Roads. In her free time, Kate enjoys skiing, hiking, going to the beach, and
hanging out with friends. Kate spent this past semester in Barcelona where the America’s Cup
will take place this fall. She was so excited to see all of the competing boats practicing; it
made her even more excited to sail this summer! She loves meeting new people and cannot wait to
spend the summer in the Caribbean!
