Reed Porter

Reed is from upstate New York and graduated from Tabor Academy in Massachusetts. He was a rower in high school as well as a Senior Officer on the school’s 115 ft schooner. After high school, Reed took a gap year to work as a ski photographer in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. As a rising senior at Miami University (OH), he is majoring in International Studies, with minors in French and Economics. He spent a semester in Cannes, France, and finished with an internship at the Cannes Film Festival. Reed has taught sailing for 8 years and is a US Sailing Level 1 instructor. He is a member of the Miami University Sailing Team, skippering both dinghies and offshore regattas. In his spare time, Reed enjoys playing tennis, golfing, and doing astrophotography. Reed is stoked to share his knowledge, interests, and passions with everyone at Sail Caribbean.
