Sophie Peacock

Mate In Training

From Little Rock, Arkansas, Sophie now studies marine biology at the University of Miami, where
the ocean is a classroom and playground. The sea stole her heart early on, and she only became
more addicted after three unforgettable sessions as a Sail Caribbean camper. Now, she’s back
where it all started and is over the moon to help make the same magic happen for the next
generation of young explorers. Sophie has first-hand knowledge of the transformative nature of
the Sail Caribbean experience. She’s witnessed the program evolve, and continues to see its
heart in the same place: equipping children to enter leadership, claim independence, and rejoice
in every wave-splashed obstacle. Whether she’s leading a snorkel or cheering on a team during
docking, Sophie leads with confidence, creativity, and an unshakable love for the ocean. When
she’s not on the water or in the lab, you can catch her thrifting, making memories with friends,
or catching live music. Sophie is thrilled to be a part of Sail Caribbean and can’t wait to help
campers build skills, create memories, and maybe even open the door to a career in marine
science!
