This is Quin K, one of your Provisions Managers, coming to you from Mile Hi!
We woke up at 7 a.m. and had eggs and bacon for breakfast, which was extremely delicious and helped us start our day on a positive note and a full stomach. The first thing we learned was how to pull the anchor up from White Bay, Guana Island. We sailed upwind to Marina Cay, where we temporarily moored for lunch, refreshing our skills in mooring. We had a delicious pasta with pesto and marinara sauce. We then dropped the ball and practiced docking at Scrub Island, and we were successful on the first try, thanks to Lilly!
We then deep-cleaned our entire boat and passed the inspection with a few minor changes. While at Scrub Island, we had a scavenger hunt to familiarize ourselves with the area, and we swam in the pool, jumped on the water trampoline, and got ourselves some treats! After some playtime, we got more serious and went over some medical procedures so that we are always well-equipped to take action and prepared for anything that comes our way. Then we took some land showers and felt so refreshed.
Once we were all cleaned up, we had a staff meeting, then enjoyed a delicious dinner of burrito bowls. After cleaning during a beautiful pink sunset, we all went on a night hike to do some bonding exercises and express our appreciation for each other. Finally, we had a boat meeting and prepared for a big day tomorrow!
