Wow, time has flown by!! I can’t believe it’s been two weeks! This is my bittersweet final trip update for Alpha & Tango 1 – enjoy!

Yesterday, Day 13, captains and mates woke up at 5:45 to begin the motor to The Baths. They arrived on the ball at 7:15, and students awoke to make breakfast with a beautiful view. After breakfast, the snorkel to shore began! The snorkel and hike through The Baths was absolutely stunning, with light shining through giant rocks and reflecting off ponds of crystal clear water.

Following the hike and beautiful views, campers returned to their boats to motor to Salt Island and make lunch. At Salt, they began packing their things in preparation for departure the following day.

After the stop at Salt, the boats up-anchored at 2:00 pm and made their way to Hodges Creek Marina. At Hodges, students called their parents to figure out flight details and continued organizing the boats. Dinner was a delicious hot meal of chicken, steamed veggies, and mac n cheese!

To close out the evening, everyone gathered to watch a slide show of photos from the program. Boats presented skits and laughed and talked the rest of the evening before going to bed!

This morning, students departed for the ferry and airport. Now, all is quiet at Hodges as staff finish cleaning the boats!

Thank you to all the amazing staff and students for making this such a fun two weeks! And thank you for reading 🙂 We hope to see you all again next summer!
