For breakfast, Megan and Ethan made a spread of foods that included bagels, yogurt, peanut butter, jelly, Nutella, and granola! The plan was to hang out and do activities until lunch, then sail to Diamond Cay in the afternoon. The Skipper of the Day was Harrison, the Navigator of the Day was Piper, and the Mate of the Day was Kate!
In the morning, Simon, Megan, and Piper went on the Colgate to work on their practical exam. They learned a lot about problem solving on the Colgates! At the same time this morning, Ethan, Drake, Lucy, and Harrison went SCUBA diving. They saw a nurse shark and porcupine fish! Now that they are all certified divers, this was their first dive just for fun. They also saw an eel, a lobster, and a spotted eagle ray during their dives.
Kenna, Holt, Kate, Eddie, and Bowen went on a snorkel led by the Marine Biology Staff. They saw coral, parrot fish, and found a sea biscuit! They also got a marine biology lesson about human impact on marine ecosystems.
After a lunch of pesto pasta made by Kenna and Simon, we sailed to Diamond Cay on Jost Van Dyke Island. We practiced jibing and continued to prepare for the upcoming Challenge Day!
In the evening, we had a dinner of chicken and quinoa made by Lucy and Eddie. After dinner, we got to go onshore tonight and get virgin pina coladas and strawberry daiquiris! We got to see all our friends from Alpha and Mega fleet!
The crew is excited for SC Olympics tomorrow!
