This morning, Sally, Molly, and I woke up extra early to take full advantage of being on the dock and grabbed coffee and a bagel to fuel up for the long day ahead. Soon, we headed back to the boats to split into groups for docking practice and a mental health seminar. My group started with docking practice where everyone did an amazing job with the maneuvers despite the heat on the dock. After docking and de docking a few times, the groups switched and we went over handling mental health scenarios.
Returning back to the boats we were soon given our new provisions which was very exciting. We made sandwiches and wraps for lunch before a group left to go sail to Colgate while the rest of us did pre departure checks to get ready for our sail to Little Harbour.
While underway, we ran some man overboard drills, which were very fun despite some sail complications. It was all worth it when I could finally send my backflip into the gorgeous waters of Little Harbor! After a few more backflips, we showered and headed over to Betty’s Dream for a staff meeting while our chefs began cooking dinner of pasta bolognese, which was delicious and exactly what we all needed after such a long day.
After dinner and dinner clean we did some last minute preparations on our ASA lessons which we presented at boat meeting. Now we’re all getting ready to rest up for another exciting day tomorrow!
