Hi fantastic Delta fleet families, this is Rollin from Beau Budd. The Delta Fleet started day 4 on a mooring ball at Cooper Island and spent the morning with some shore time, while the Open Water, Advanced Open Water, and Fun divers went diving. After shore time, the Delta fleet combined on Beau Budd and motored over to Salt Island for an awesometastic hike. For dinner, Beau Budd was split in half and got to enjoy dinner with the other boats on the Delta Fleet.
Day 5 started with PDCs and dropping our ball at Cooper. Beau Budd got to sail with the amazing Delta Fleet program director, Mady, and it was a great time. It was our first downwind sail, and we learned all about jibbing. After we picked up our ball at the Bight, the fleet had time to Colgate (our 26-foot keel sailboats) and water sport. Then Beau Budd had burrito bowls for dinner with a special guest, Nora from the staff. After dinner, the fleet had a special night hike where we spent 15 minutes looking at the stars and reflecting on how grateful we are to be here and be together.
On day 6, we woke up with lots of excitement. The fleet started with an exciting morning cave snorkel. After that, we started PDCs (Pre-Departure Checks) and motored from the Bight to Nanny Cay. It was lots of fun learning how to dock. The fleet got some time on land to shop at boutiques and get snacks. We also got some much-needed land showers. The Beau Budders are getting so excited for our overnight passage and our time down island. I’ve had the best time so far and have loved getting to know everyone on the fleet!
