What an amazing day mega fleet had today! We woke up bright and early at Cooper Island, and started cooking French toast for breakfast. Perfect fuel for our busy day. Open water divers got ready for their final dives of their certifications… congratulations to all of the new certified open water divers!
“It was fun! I’m so excited to explore the ocean!” – Kate D, (Student on Newton’s Law)
While our divers were breathing bubbles, all other students went to shore for some land time. We experienced the cafe, boutique, beach, and did some water sports.
“Standing up on a waterski for the first time was surprising and I got a rush, but I had so much fun and am excited to do it again.” – John A, (Student on Newton’s Law)
After shore time, we had another delicious meal of pizza bagels with fresh cut pineapple. Then, our fun divers set off for their afternoon diving adventures.
“It was amusing because not only did we see a set for a movie, we also saw wildlife, such as a lobster, and it was a big group so a lot of people were having fun. Such as, taking the sock off of our tank and putting it on each other’s heads.” – Micheal Z – (Student on Newton’s Law)
It sounds like our divers had a blast! All of the other students sailed to a new spot, Benures bay, which dare I say is one of the most beautiful spots in the BVI. We had a great time swimming, playing with the other boats, and tubing. We shared lots of laughs and smiles. For dinner, we had chicken pesto pasta with LOADS of broccoli.
Now, we are prepping for the Great British (Virgin Islands) bake off, where we will present our special Oreo salted caramel brownies to staff boat. Wish us luck.
We are so excited to keep exploring the BVI’s and having more fun with each other ! Sending love to family, friends, and pets!
