Alpha Day 9: Brought to you by the staff boat

By wpdev July 31, 2014
From the staff boat:
This morning we woke up early and staff motored from Bitter End to Great Dog. Once we arrived, we woke up the students and ate breakfast. After breakfast clean up, the open water students headed out for a dive and the rest had an island formation lesson and went on a guided snorkel!

After we got out of the water it was snack time. We spent some time relaxing and then started a cannonball contest! Once the divers got back, we ate lunch and dropped the ball. We sailed for a couple of hours and did man- overboard drills. We then anchored at Savannah Bay on Virgin Gorda. Baked Ziti was on the menu for dinner and the students did an excellent job preparing it! We ate dinner watching the sunset. After dinner and clean up, we had boat meeting and had a nice quiet  night on board!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
