Early Alpha Day 6: Brought to you by the crew of JP

By wpdev June 13, 2014

What another great day at Sail Caribbean! Rising early at Cane Garden Bay in Tortola, Harrison took the helm as we motored from our mooring ball.

Maurice, who was our mate for the day, delivered a great right of way rules lesson and captain Matt touched on our points of sail. Isabel took charge of many of the maneuvers throughout the passage around Tortola, helping to organize the crew and galvanize a strong sailing spirit.

Half way through the sail, Ellie and Caroline made some snacks while Miles took the helm. Cole, the skipper for the day, bravely took us in for a stern-to docking at Nanny Cay. The whole crew enjoyed shopping on land and exploring the local scene.

As we power down for the night after games on shore and a hearty dinner, we all look forward to another day in the Caribbean.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
