This morning was egg muffins morning! On Delta, we also awoke to an extra extra special day….. The birthday of one of our Delta Crew….Eilish Donnino! We celebrated by heading ashore with the Alpha fleet, and all did a hike to the top of Norman Island, (in the slightly cooler morning temperatures) to admire the view, take group photos and play games!

Back downhill to shore as the sun and the temperature rose, and the rest of the morning was spent sailing on Opal Bella, Water-sporting (water-skis and wake-boards) and many took on the Poparazzi challenge…being towed around behind a ski boat on a giant inflatable, radical rolling vertically-balanced inner tube. Poparazzi has a will of it’s own, and is particularly talented at throwing unsuspecting kids off. The surprised and flabbergasted looks on student faces mid flight …a sight to behold!

Back on the boats for lunch, then all Delta crew gathered on Mont Louis for a marine bio lesson. Mates taught about marine and snorkeling hazards, before we all jumped directly from the boat onto the reef beside our mooring for a whole fleet snorkel….meanwhile our birthday girl joined the other open water divers to hit some of the best diving spots located around the island.

In the evening, we all got back together after a yummy BBQ chicken and broccoli pasta dinner, and welcomed our final Delta student who arrived this afternoon to join us. We of course did it in Delta style with birthday cake and a birthday party on Meursault!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
