Tango 3 Day 4: Snorkeling The Harbor Of Norman Island's The Bight

Today began with a much-needed sleep in! After all the diving, watersports, and tubing yesterday, an 8:00 am wake up felt like heaven. We dropped the ball at Cooper Island and headed downwind to Norman Island and the Pirate’s Bight. We set our jib today and enjoyed a leisurely sail as we learned about points of sail and how best to trim our sails depending on where we’re headed.

We picked up the ball on the first try at the Bight and immediately jumped into the water! It’s been hotter these last few days and a dip in the harbor was the best solution to beat the heat! After a lunch of greek pita wraps (yum!), we had a fish lesson on our boat and snorkeled around the edges of the harbor, spying a lot of spiny sea urchins. Our day wasn’t even close to being complete after all this activity. After dinner, we came to shore for an evening social with blended fruity drinks and some desserts!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
