We woke up at Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbor and were anxious to leave docks and get back out on the water! We had French toast for breakfast and it was such a treat! Our fun divers left right after breakfast to do some wreck dives.

Once they left, everyone else also left and set their sails to Deadman’s bay. It was a nice long sail and everyone got a chance to practice all the different positions of various sailing maneuvers. Reaching Deadman’s by mid-day, we had a quick dip in the water, and started preparing lunch.

Our morning divers got back after lunch and then our advanced open water divers left for their turn at underwater adventure for the afternoon. We had a nice relaxing afternoon filled with turtling and water sports and hanging out between boats. It was Dress-Your-Mate day for staff meeting, so all the students got to dress up their mates in whatever they wanted. Everyone looked crazy and were in the most ridiculous outfits. We had a quiet evening and a nice boat meeting to finish off the night.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
