Delta 2 Day 6: Approaching The Nanny Cay Docks

We awoke this morning to the sun rising over Norman Island. As food re-provisioning was set for today, we pulled together our leftovers to make a delicious breakfast buffet including some eggs and bacon. After dropping the Open Water and Discover Scuba Diving divers off on shore, we relaxed and cleaned up the boat in anticipation of the cleaning inspection set to occur at our destination. We finally dropped the ball midmorning and set sail, teaching parts and points of sail underway.
As we approached Nanny Cay, our target for the night, the crews made docking plans following a lesson by their staff. After 2 awesomely executed dockings, our divers returned and everyone worked together to prepare for inspection. With passing scores under our belts, we made a lunch of leftover sandwiches, bagels and snacks and sent our Fun Divers off for the afternoon. Those of us not diving enjoyed some time on shore while some of the staff received and sorted a new food delivery. From shops to pool to beach, we roamed Nanny Cay and also took advantage of a half hour of phone time to check in with family, friends and loved ones.
With divers back, we all headed off to shower (in air conditioned showers!) and then began a dinner preparation of chicken pesto melts. After dinner and dinner clean were complete, the Delta crews headed over to another boat for a few special moments of guitar and singing under the stars. Back on our boats, we hung out and had boat meeting, followed by power down. We drifted off to sleep, excited to embark on tomorrow’s adventures.
