This morning we woke up at 7:00 am to clear skies. We had breakfast sandwiches, made by Alex & Pelayo, then prepared to de-moor. We took a 15-minute motor from Diamond Cay to Sandy Cay and prepared for the Olympics! We used colored zinc as body paint and repped our boat names!

We started with “Bury Your Captain,” where the students had to chase, capture, and bury their Captain in the sand. After the captains became beautiful sand mermaids, the students created unique origin stories for them, such as their buried captain being a swashbuckling pirate!

Then, we played “Dizzy Fender,” a relay race where students donned snorkel masks and fins and ran around the fenders three times.

After that, we played a classic game of tug-of-war.

Then, we finished with a synchronized swimming competition!

After returning to our boats, we had a lunch of chicken caesar wraps made by Parker R. and Will. We then motor sailed to Scrub Island where we docked the boats and enjoyed some shore time at the pool and shops. Following shore time, the students got 30 minutes of phone time to call their family, and we closed out the evening with taco bowls for dinner, made by Sydney and Parker Z!

We’re excited for the Challenge Sail tomorrow and land time at Bitter End!
