Hi all! I’m Molly from Y Nissi, and I’ll be telling you about our day!
We all woke up at 7:30, except for our rescue diver who left for Hodges and her EMF day at 6:45. For breakfast, we had scrambled eggs courtesy of James — they were delicious! We used 30 whole eggs!
Next, we motored across the bay to Trellis, picked up a mooring ball, and shuttled the kids to shore for our morning hike. It was a long and arduous trek, with an upward incline for about 50 minutes, but we were rewarded with a stunning view at the top. Along the way, we saw lizards and crabs, and at the peak we got to climb some huge rocks and all caught our breath as we stared at the blue watered view.
The way down was hugely easier than the climb up, and once we got to the bottom, we stopped at the Trellis Market. Everyone got to pick one sweet treat and a beverage before heading back to the boats.
After doing our pre departure checks, we set sail for Savannah. It was a super chill sail, and everyone got the chance to try out jobs they hadn’t done before, like easing the furling line and pulling up the halyard. We anchored in one try, then showered and started dinner prep.
The kids made a spectacular quinoa salad while Paton and I went to the mates meeting. When we got back, the boat was spick and span from boat clean! Izzy left for feedback night, and we did some super fun activity rotations. Alexa and Heidi went to do water quality testing with the Sierra and Foxtrot kids.
Y Nissi’s activity was chill vibes, reading and journaling, while other boats hosted yoga sessions, game night, and more. Everyone returned to their boats by 9, and we wrapped up with a quick boat meeting.
Heidi did her hot seat, and we learned so much about her! After that, we started to wind down around 10
