The day aboard Unsinkable began with everyone slowly waking up and easing into the morning. Any lingering sleepiness quickly disappeared when the crew remembered the exciting activities ahead. After gathering their gear, everyone enjoyed a delicious breakfast prepared by Lucas and Sadie before getting ready for the day.
The crew then split up for a variety of adventures. Our divers headed off for a day underwater, while others worked on their sailing skills with our talented instructors. A third group took to the water for some tubing, and among the tubers, one thing was clear—everyone loved going fast! Flying across the water, bouncing over waves, and swinging from side to side made for plenty of laughs and even a few impressive splashes.
One of the most special parts of the day was seeing campers from different boats spending time together. Whether they were learning new skills, sharing stories, or simply enjoying each other’s company, friendships continued to grow throughout the day. Before long, everyone reunited for a lunch of wraps. As soon as the campers heard they would be able to go ashore afterward, plates were cleaned and packed away in record time!
Once on Cooper Island, campers enjoyed the chance to stretch their legs on solid ground, browse the shops, and, of course, grab some ice cream. We spent a wonderful afternoon exploring and soaking in the beauty of the island before heading back to Unsinkable.
When we returned, we were greeted by our diving crew, who were excited to share stories from their day underwater. The divers completed skills at 30 feet, including mask removal and replacement, with Maddie celebrating a particularly successful session. Cecilia also conquered some challenges in confined spaces, an accomplishment that made the entire crew proud.
We wrapped up the day back together with a hearty dinner of Italian sausage pasta, followed by games and laughter. As the sun set, it was clear that while many of these campers arrived as strangers, they are quickly becoming a close-knit crew, united by their shared adventure sailing through the Caribbean.
