Goooood Morning from Vela Vita!!! This morning we woke up at Trellis Bay where we had breakfast buffet. After chowing on some bagels and cereal, we completed PDC’s and got ready to drop the ball for the first time. Silus expertly skippered us, and even though we need to work on our communication a little bit more, we safely dropped the ball and exited the mooring field.
We raised sails for the second time and learned a bit about points of sail while sailing on a beam reach to Cooper Island! After arriving at Cooper, Vince and Georgia began cheffing up some delicious caesar salad wraps for lunch. Our divers headed out after eating to begin their Open Water course and Discovery Scuba Dive.
The rest of us enjoyed a marine bio lesson on Happy Days and a snorkel lead by Jack, Chloe, and Miles. We then enjoyed some post-snorkel swimmy fun time and water sports! After returning to our own boats, we began ocean showers and dinner prep. Nina and Silus joined Miles in preparing Italian sausage penne for dinner, which our crew devoured!
We finished up the day by completing boat clean and boat meeting in which we had an intense game of pirates (Sail Caribbean Mafia)! We had a great day of sailing and exploring the water. We can’t wait for what tomorrow brings us!
