Mega Fleet:

This morning Mega fleet started the day at The Moorings, which is not only our home base for all Sail Caribbean fleets, but also the number one charter yacht company in the world! Scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, and toast were on the menu for breakfast this morning, and shortly afterwards the campers explored the Moorings pool, restaurant, cafes, and shops. Just before pre-departure checks, the lunch prep crew whipped up some veggie rice paper wraps and prepared for de-docking. I hopped into the “crash boat,” where my responsibility is to drive around in the dinghy and serve as an extra fender to protect the boats from the dock. Thanks to our excellent skippers, there was no use for the crash boat today!

We then set sail for Benures Bay on Norman Island.

It truly is a beautiful spot, and we were all lucky enough to watch a glorious sunset. Finally, the Unsinkable II staff and campers invited all the boats over for a huge dance party. Everyone was singing their hearts out and grooving to classic throwback songs. It was the ideal way to end the day, with the campers headed back to their boats sweaty from dancing but with big smiles on their faces.

Lima Fleet:

Meanwhile on Lima fleet, Dive Masters in Training completed their certifications with their Discover Local Diving skills out at Cistern Point off of Cooper Island this morning. Then they completed a short motor jib to Trellis, where ASA-ers finished up their certifications with on-the-water practicals on the Colgate with our instructor Cara! ASA-ers taught each of their lessons and then moored at Trellis Bay. In camper Judd’s words, they “secured the bag on ASA 201 certs.” At the same time, the divers had some much-earned shore time at Trellis. Lima then capped off the day with a celebratory dinner on shore at Marché’s.
