Alpha 2 & Tango 2: Day 6 – The Dogs

Day 6

Today the fleet was headed to Anegada! In the morning they made their way to The Dogs, which are a group of islands near northwest Virgin Gorda. Typically our two-week programs do not sail to this area because it is far from Tortola, but with covid limiting other activities, it felt like the perfect plan.

The fleet anchored at The Dogs to enjoy a mid-morning snorkel. Loads of exciting sea creatures were spotted! After the snorkel, some of the boats did a mini marine bio lesson on sharks and coral.

After lunch, the sails were raised and they were off to Anegada. It was amazing to see the students fully take control of the boat after less than a week. Students were shouting out commands and taking the helm with confidence.
