Alpha 2 Day 4

By wpdev July 11, 2014
Today, we woke up at Salt Island. The divers continued their open water curriculum and the non divers spent time hanging out on board and participating in various watersports like wake boarding and tubing.
After that, we all got on venture and motored around Salt Island to Black Rock. There, we snorkeled the stern portion of the wreck of the Rhone! The students loved getting to see the wreck first hand after hearing the story the previous night. We swam back to boats to eat a delicious lunch and then headed to Great Harbor on Peter Island.
We had a long sail in the channel where the students did their first jibe and learned some about down wind sailing. Once we arrived at Great Harbor and moored, we took showers and ate chicken stir fry. We had another early boat meeting and continued to bond during a quiet night on board.
The camera is off on a hike right now but watch this space for pictures!!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
