Today, Daniel was our skipper and Valeria was our navigator. We sailed from Cooper Island to Monkey Point on Guana Island. The day began with a buffet breakfast then Daniel went diving while the rest of the boat went to shore. There were loads of things to do there! Noah and Bryce hopped in our RIB to do rounds of tubing. Valeria, Sophie, Elinor, Kirk and Josie went kayaking. Chris played volleyball with some of the crew of Xeres.

After lunch, we set sail for Monkey Point and while underway, we learned about reefing our main sail and the different points of sailing. When we arrived at Monkey point, we successfully picked up the mooring ball on our first attempt which was great! We then welcomed our latest crew member, Steve, to our boat, who arrived all the way from China! After dinner, we went swimming with biolume which amazed everyone.

Today, our crew did a great job of raising the main sail but we need to work on our tacking. Our miracle moments were when we raised the main sail and swam with the biolume.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
