CONGRATULATION, OPEN WATER DIVERS! This morning, the divers left us to complete their final open water training dives at the Wreck of the Rhone. All of them passed with only one more camper to complete one final dive. Congratulations on a certification that will take you to see many more oceans around the world from the unique and special perspective that we share while making bubbles underwater.

While they dove, crisp, powerful breezes swirled round and round and the waves rolled through the soft curve of the island where we were anchored, rocking us out to greet the day that lay ahead of us. Setting sails up to scoop up the wind and carry us across the channel, we headed to Trellis Bay where we would enjoy phone time, ice cream, sodas, and unique artwork at the local shops and artist’s studio.

The evening was announced by the rolling in of grey clouds carrying moisture from the cooled humid air. And we took this as our cue to head to head back to boats and to enjoy dinner and one another’s company over a boat meeting and cookies!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
