Today Alpha was on quite the adventure. Starting the day off with banana pancakes and Jack Johnson, divers got ready to start their Open Water and Advanced Open Water Certifications. The rest of the students headed over to one boat, Betty’s Dream, to reunite and connect with new friends. After swimming and practicing dive tricks off the side of the boat, it was time for mac n cheese when the divers returned from their prior to first. It was incredibly rewarding to have some shore time in the Cooper Island boutique and coffee shop after spending 3 days on the boats.

After a long day of maneuvers, it was time for baked penne for dinner. As the sun set, the crew gathered together on the bow to take pictures of the beautiful scenery. Following boat clean and boat meeting, we ended the night with some well deserved quality time together, sharing stories about the day and getting ready for tomorrow’s conquests!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
