We had an early morning wake up because it’s finally Bitter End Day! Bitter End Day is when we spend the full day at Bitter End Yacht Club and students can play on a variety of small boats, enjoy delicious food at the restaurant/pub, and hang around the beach club relaxing and playing games. By the time we all arrived to Bitter End, everyone went straight to the Crawl Pub to enjoy pizza and burgers.

Afterwards, students hung out at the beach to jump off the dock and swim around. All of our students got to sail around the North Sound on small boats such as Hobie cats and 420s. Students also got to go tubing and on the wakeboard again throughout the Sound.

When students weren’t swimming at the beach, they were participating in a volleyball tournament! Students had the entire day to spend time with the other fleets and get snacks and appreciate the beauty of the North Sound. After the amazing day students went home to shower and get ready for dinner. After a delicious dinner, students got excited because they were informed they got to sleep in before returning to the Bitter End tomorrow for a hike and few more activities.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
