The Mega and Delta fleets awoke well rested to the beautiful shores of Sopers Hole. After enjoying a lazy breakfast, the campers shuttled ashore, visiting various shops and colorful buildings in the bay. The Delta fleet received a kind farewell around 11 as they departed for their upcoming adventures down-island. However, the Mega fleet de-moored, and enjoyed a long afternoon sail to Little Harbor on Jost Van Dyke. Throughout the sail, students were introduced to tacking and jibing maneuvers and practiced along the way. Once at Jost, the Mega fleet was greeted by its second consecutive rainbow and afternoon shower. Students swam, snorkeled, and played on lily pads before heading to shore for a fleet-wide dinner at Sidney’s. A DJ accompanied a bbq buffet, and campers danced together before heading back to boats around 9. The Mega fleet looks forward to more sailing practice, an afternoon at Sandy Cay, and upcoming fun dives!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
