The ending of the final Charlie and Alpha program holds so much meaning because it not only means that another program has ended, but the summer is very nearly drawing to a close. The past two weeks have been filled with so much laughter and joy, that the Chalpha team really couldn’t have asked for a better way to end what had been a spectacular summer all around. It was amazing to see so many campers from past summers return to the British Virgin Islands and even more amazing to see new bonds created and existing ones grow even stronger. It is safe to say that the friendships formed during the program will continue to exist for a long time to come.

The program goes so quickly that it’s easy to forget just how much has been learned and achieved, whether it’s something as simple as finally being able to tie your own hammock, becoming Fish ID Certified or achieving long term goals like becoming a Master Diver. Each and every student should be extremely proud of how much they have accomplished in the past 14 days, and we hope that you continue to build on this knowledge.

Thank you to all the students of Chalpha for making this summer one to remember for many years to come and we hope all the knowledge you have accumulated leads you on to many more adventures.

Fair winds and Following Seas,

Charlie and Alpha Staff

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
