Day 4 Cooper Island Beach Club

By wpdev July 18, 2014

Today was a busy day full of sailing, diving, kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkelling and water sports. Sophia, Sophia, Abbie, Kyra, Ian and Hadyn took Opal Bella out sailing. She is our 26 foot keelboat and everyone enjoyed having the opportunity to trannsfer the skills they have been learning on our larger boats. Steph, Aidan, Dylan, Paul, Holly and Brandon went for a snorkel at Cistern Point on the edge of Manchioneel Bay. The groups swapped around before lunch on board the boats.

In the afternoon there was plenty of choice: Sophia, Sophia and Abby decided on the high intensity of tubing, while Holly, Charlotte, Kyra and Steph took out the Stand Up Paddle boards. Paul and Dylan explored Manchioneel Bay atop the kayaks. The highlight for many was seeing Will catch a lizard.

After a busy afternoon everyone headed back to the boats for showers and dinner. On board Rioja Aidan  and Dylan were responsible for cooking up stir fry for everyone. On board God Speed Mary Ian and Hadyn were our chefs extraordinaire!!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
