Delta 1 2015 – Day 4

written by student, Pablo Ruiz De Alda

Manchioneel Bay, Cooper Island to Pond Bay, Salt Island to Great Harbour, Peter Island

Today, I was the skipper of the day, with help from one of my crew, Hawkey as my navigator and my mate.

Dylan woke everybody up at 7:00a.m. Then, Cass cooked breakfast for the crew. At 7:40a.m. Trevor, Elvira, and Pablo went diving, while everyone else sailed to Salt Island. The boat was being carried by Hawkey. The crew went hiking on Salt Island, overlooking the wreck of the Rhone.

The crew came back and swam to the boat to eat pineappe, and made super duper cookie sandwiches. The whole crew sailed to Peter Island, with Sam and Chloe taking over the helm. During the staff meeting, Jen and the crew failed on the attempts at doing back flips. Sam and Emily went for a night dive, and later we had dinner. Everyone participated on the cleaning of the boat. Later, we had brownies and cleaned the dishes.

Today our crew did a great job of cleaning.

We need to work on our back flips.

Miracle Moment: Jen attempting the back flip.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
