Today was a fabulous day for Meursault! The boat woke up earlier than usual so that we could have a delicious banana nutella pancake breakfast! After Shay made us the best pancakes ever, we went to shore on Virgin Gorda for a scenic hike at the Bitter End Yacht Club.

After the hike we had a nice refreshing swim followed by the crew being sent off in small groups for watersports, tubing and small boat sailing. Everyone got to choose how to spend their day, whether it was buying a souvenir, eating pizza at the pub, or taking a quick nap in the hammocks. Popparazzi was a popular adventure. Macy and Issy hit the record and went for 3 runs! Anna was even able to outlast staff member Kyle on the poparazzi!

Another hit of the day was small boat sailing. Patrick and Shay got to spend a few hours working on their Basic Keelboat skills in the 420s. In addition, Patrick got to sail a Hobie with Tucker, Griffin, and Tripp. Kat and Josh also found themselves sailing around the North Sound on a Hobie!

Meanwhile, on the other side of the sound, Shay taught Sofi and Macy how to wakeboard! Even though they struggled to stand up, they still had an amazing time and really appreciated the support and coaching from their crew member!

This eventful day ended with sunset showers off the back of the boat and Anna cooking a yummy Carbonara for dinner.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
